A Time I Loved School

Think back to a time when you really liked school. It could be because of a specific subject, teacher, event, project, or even the friends you had at the time. Write about:

  1. What made you enjoy school during that time?
    • Describe what was happening.
    • Who or what made it special?
  2. How do you feel about school now?
    • Do you still feel the same way? Why or why not?
    • What has changed, if anything?
  3. What could make school more enjoyable for you now?
    • Think about what you loved before and how that might help you enjoy school more today.

Take your time to write thoughtfully. Make sure to answer all of the questions.

  1. A time I really loved school was in 4th grade because when I did multimedia and Mr.Alexander was really nice.

  2. The time I loved school was when I was in the fifth grade. The reason why was because of all of my friends and when they were all together like a group. I used to play with them everyday and they were never in trouble. Now I don’t like school because I am not in a class with all of my friends. My friends made it special because if I didn’t know them I wouldn’t have known about a lot of things and close I can be to other people. How I feel about school now is alright its because I don’t have most of my friends in my class I only have a few. What changed was how our friend group is not how it used to be. What can make school better again is if I would be able to switch classes and be able to be with my friends again.

  3. A time I loved school was when we could go home very early or having a small party before break. I like when we are able to sit with our friends and watch a movie or do something else. I love when we have break I don´t really like waking up early for school so I enjoy break.

  4. I enjoyed school in 6th grade because of the memories it brought to me.
I was hanging out with my friend at the back table, doing work before we started to talk quietly.
It made it special because of the contentment it brought.
I don’t feel the same about school now, but it isn’t terrible.
I do not feel the same way as in 6th grade mainly because of the people in my class.
Most of my friends are in Ms. Shed’s class so it isn’t as enjoyable in here.
School could be more enjoyable now if I were able to socialize.
I loved the memories 6th grade brought with the people I sat with.

  5. The time I liked school was in Pre-K cause all we did was have fun and everything was so easy. Plus we would go outside and just play on the playground and do stuff like that.

  6. In 5th grade we did this project to see how many penny’s would hold our bridges we made out of gumdrops and spaghetti sticks. It was real fun working the people I was grouped with. School isn’t the same of course, it’s harder and no I don’t feel the same about school. To make school more enjoyable for me is if I was able to be on my phone and if we didn’t have to do a lot of work that is hard.

  7. A time I really loved school was when I was in 6th grade. It was near the end of the school year, and I was with my friends. My teacher decided to do something fun. He brought in everything we needed to make slime, he even let some of my other friends from different classes come and join us. It was lots of fun because we all got to work together, mixing the ingredients and trying out different slime textures. We laughed a lot, and it felt like we were just having fun without any worries. Everyone was so happy, and it made that day feel special. I’ll always remember that moment because it was a perfect way to end the year with my friends. Right now, my feelings about school have changed just very little, now it’s just more annoying, I don’t feel the excitement about school than I did in the past. Now school is now more stressful. One thing that has changed is my focus on grades and future plans. To make school more enjoyable for me now, I think it would help if there were more hands-on projects or opportunities to explore personal interests. Mixing fun, interactive activities with the academic lessons could make things more engaging. Also, having more time to connect with friends or taking breaks to relax could reduce some of the stress and make school feel less overwhelming.

  8. A time I had a lot of fun was on field day in 6th grade. I had a lot of fun because me and my friends get to play water games and splash each other with water. My favorite thing about field day was all the snacks and all the fun that I had with all my classmates.

  9. I love school because I could see my friends I get learn I get to play soccer. I like playing soccer with my friends the most. Because it is very fun I love to play soccer especially when it is soccer season for school I also like to go to P.E. P.E is very fun cause I get to do a lot of fun sports.

  10. At the time it was very beautiful to go to school because it was very cool, so I went to school because the teacher was very cool because he taught us to do things that we liked to do, things that we didn’t let him, it was like a fun exam, that’s why school was very incredible, but suddenly there came a day when the teacher left, asking us to laugh at him leaving because it was very fun, just like that, they had already planned to leave, so there was another strategy for him to know what would happen, but no, it couldn’t happen x

  11. A time I really loved school was 6th grade because I was always happy and I would love to go to school because I could be with my friends and just mess around . I really liked 6th grade when it came to the end of it like around May – June because me and my friends would always have fun and be together 24/7. I don’t feel the same way anymore because this year is more strict and I’m always irritated about something .
