Student Council nominations: directions & next steps

Use the Student Council nominations to suggest a student who could contribute thoughtfully to school leadership. Read the current directions on this page before you begin, because the activity or available choices may change.

Before you begin

Read the descriptions of the leadership roles. Consider the responsibilities involved, and ask your nominee whether they are interested before submitting.

Work through the task

Enter the requested information and choose the role that fits your nomination. Use a specific, respectful example to explain the person’s strengths.

Check your work

Check the spelling of names and the selected role. Explain leadership qualities such as listening, reliability, collaboration, or follow-through instead of only popularity.

What happens next?

Mr. Alexander reviews nominations and confirms interest before the ballot is finalized. A nomination is an invitation to be considered, not an election result.
