Know the routine.
Make room for learning.
Clear routines help us begin calmly, work responsibly, and respect each other. Find the procedure you need and open it for the steps.

I can follow classroom routines so I can learn, work safely, and help others learn.
I begin the posted task, follow directions for materials and movement, and can explain what to do when I need help.

Try a quick routine check
You arrive and the opening task is on the board. What should you do first? You finish your work early. What is your next step?
Check the expected response
Go to your assigned seat, prepare your materials, and begin the posted task. If you finish early, complete missing work from the week; if everything is complete, work quietly at your desk.
