Your Task: In the comments section, write a thoughtful response to the blog post prompt. Your response should answer the question or complete the task fully and in detail, and it must be at least three sentences long. Once you’ve submitted your comment, make sure to read through your classmates’ responses. After reading, reply to at least three classmates to keep the conversation going. When replying, aim to add value to the discussion by agreeing or disagreeing respectfully, making connections to your own experiences or ideas, and offering additional insights.
Comment Guidelines:
- Write a meaningful and well-developed response that fully addresses the blog post prompt. Your comment should provide clear details or examples to explain your ideas, making it easy for others to understand your thoughts. Your response must be at least three sentences long.
- Once you’ve posted your comment, be sure to read and reply to at least three classmates’ comments. Use the sentence frames provided below to guide your responses and make sure your replies contribute to the discussion in a respectful and constructive way.
Sentence Frames for Replying to Classmates:
Agreement:
- “I agree with ________ because…”
- “I really liked what ________ said because…”
- “I agree with ________, but I also think that…”
Disagreement:
- “I disagree with ________ because…”
- “I’m not sure I agree with ________ because…”
- “I see where ________ is coming from, but I have a different perspective…”
Making Connections:
- “This reminds me of ________ because…”
- “This is relevant to my life because…”
- “What ________ said made me think of when I…”
Summarizing:
- “The main point here is…”
- “In summary, this comment is saying that…”
Adding to the Discussion:

Make sure that your responses are respectful and focus on creating a meaningful conversation. Even if you disagree, do so politely, and always explain why you feel the way you do. Don’t forget to engage with multiple perspectives and consider how your thoughts fit into the overall conversation. By doing this, you’ll deepen your understanding and help others reflect on their own ideas too.
Remember, your original response should be at least three sentences long, and replying to at least three classmates is an important part of this activity, so take the time to carefully read through others’ comments and contribute to the discussion thoughtfully!
