Explain both a character change and a theme before moving on.
Step 4: Evaluate the Book
This is the part that turns a summary into a review. Make a claim, give evidence, and explain your thinking.
Claim → Evidence → Explanation Claim: One strength of the novel is its suspense. Evidence: For example, the author repeatedly places the main character in situations where the reader does not know what will happen next. Explanation: This keeps the reader interested because each event raises a new question.
Add a strength, evidence, explanation, and recommendation before continuing.
